Read Around the World is a series of interviews from the homes of authors around the world that gives insight into their creative processes and the books they love. Marcelino Truong is a painter, illustrator and author, whose father was Vietnamese and his mother French. Truong lived in Washington DC, Saigon at the beginning of the Vietnam War, and London as a child. His first book for adults was an autobiographical two-volume graphic novel about his childhood in a collapsing Vietnam with his parents and three siblings, and as a teenager in the UK and France during the Vietnam War, was published in France in 2012 and 2015.
