Relevant and Thought-Provoking: Frantz Fanon would be 92 this Year.

Psychiatrist, philosopher, revolutionary and post-colonial theorist Frantz Fanon was born in Martinique in 1925 and died of leukemia at the young age of 36. He joined the Free French forces in 1943 before settling in North Africa, working as a psychiatrist in a small town in Algeria where he focused on the psychological effects of colonialism and decolonization on the native Algerian population. His work continues to inspire and provoke debate today.
