Now in its 15th year, Più Libri is an opportunity to get to know the dynamic network of over 400 small and independent Italian publishers, many of them (but not all) based in Rome, in contrast to the large groups with headquarters in Milan. The fair was founded by the Italian Publishers Association (AIE) with the aim of giving more visibility to these smaller, independent houses. Più Libri provides an eclectic choice of editorial lists ranging from high-end literary fiction and humanities to self-help and fantasy as well as children’s books and technical publishers. It is a fair geared to the general reading public more than to professionals although it does organize a Fellowship Program for foreign publishers. Last year the Fellowship included 15 publishers – mainly editors or rights managers – from European countries and the Arab world.
