Hi, maybe some of you know well the work of Terry Pratchett. I love his Discworld saga. It's so funny, well written, clever and so interesting that you should throw yourself on it if you don't know his books yet. I read those in french, which is my mother tongue (sorry for my english by the way), so I might not know the correct english titles but I can try to share which books are really stunning and unforgettable.

The Discworld saga first book it "The colour of magic" followed by "The light fantastic" where you meet Rincewind, one of the best antihero of all times. Those two books however might look a bit more for teenagers. So if you want to discover the saga with an adult look, try "Wyrd sisters" of "Mort" first. What is amazing with Terry is how he reflects on the world, the beliefs, the structure of the reality. You will find in every book a comment about death, of quantum physics or philosophy. It's very very interesting to look at life with his glasses on your eyes.

Of course you should read the whole saga. Every one of them is a little jewel of its kind.

Please comment on this post if you want to know more of if you want to share with me your passion about his work.

I too love Pratchett and first discovered him through the backdoor so to speak. I stumbled upon his book with Neil Gaiman (a happy discovery of two great authors) The Good Omen and loved it so much I had to find out much more about both!! This led to a sort of backwards readcrawl to the Discworld saga which I am now devouring! And now I find out that he is dead. So, so very sad. I can see these are books I will be re-reading over and over as cherished friends. Love when books offer new and other insights our different perspectives every time I read them. But that his unique mind is gone already is almost too much! Ah well, I shall revel in each phrase, sentence ,  character, idea, perspective, idea.
I love Pratchett too and for so many of the same reasons. His writing is so simple and yet so complex, it has so many layers and yet is so funny and feel good. So with you in Pratchett Love. :)
