How to change my telus modem password

For internet browsing , one will require a modem that creates a gateway to the system from server. Modem need to be configured on the system and for that every user has a username and password. If any time , if user wants to change the username and password of his Telus modem, he can go for following steps .


Connect the modem with the system.


Then open the web browser.


Enter the address 192.168.1.254 in the address bar and press enter.


The home screen will appear asking for user id and password.


Password , user can see under the model.


If user has just logged in then he will be asked weather to change the password.


Else from the welcome screen.,click on the Wireless setup and then Basic Settings.


Enable the Wireless Radio, SSID Broadcast and write the SSID name.


Select WPA or WPA 2- Personal in the WPA field.


Now there will be a text box for Security key or pass phrase.


If some thing is written there then delete it and enter the desired password between 8 to 63 characters with a combination of letters and numbers.


Save the settings.


Call at the telus email technical support for any technical issues or queries.
