Nathan Hill is an American author.
Born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA in 1975, he got his B.A. from University of Iowa and M.A. from University of Massachusetts.
He worked as an editor and website designer for the Academy of American Poets and, prior to that, as a print journalist.
His debut novel, The Nix, received widespread acclaim and his short stories have appeared in many literary journals
He was also an associate professor at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Nathan Hill was awarded numerous prizes including the Fiction Prize from The journal Fiction for his story The Bottle and his debut novel The Nix was named the #1 book of the year by Audible and Entertainment Weekly, as well as one of the year’s best books by The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR, Slate, and many others, it was also the winner of the L.A. Times Book Prize for First Fiction.
